William Daniel Garner, 78, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at The Meadows in Fulton, MS. Dan was the sixth and last child born to Lucian and Mayone Salmon Garner. He attended Randolph School. He married his high school sweetheart, and they had three children who later gave them six grandchildren. He was a farmer most of his life, raising various crops. He loved antique cars and going to car shows. His most prized possession was his fire engine red ’57 Chevy.
Survivors include his children, Tammy Hood (Paul), Brant Garner (Jodi), and Marlin Garner, his ex-wife and friend, Glenda Moore, his grandchildren, Dalton Hood, Caroline Clemmer, Claire Garner, Catherine Garner, Jack Garner, and Garrett Garner, his sisters, Mary Jones and Ann Garner, his nephews, Tim Garner, Reg Garner, John Garner, David Garner, Garner Chaffin, Mike Jones, and Scott Jones, his niece, Calente Tapp, and his sister-in-law, Patsy Garner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Carl Garner, Rojar Garner, and Sam Garner, brother-in-law, Benny Jones, nephews, Dlon and George Garner, and niece, Karen Garner.
Services will be held at 4PM Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 2PM. Bro. Randy Satterfield will officiate, and burial will follow in Garner Family Cemetery, Randolph, MS. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Tim Garner, Mike Jones, Scott Jones, Garner Chaffin, John Garner, and David Garner.
