Graveside Memorial Services for Mr. William Clifford Parker Sr, age 92 of Dadeville, will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Pierce Memorial Cemetery in Shelby County.

Mr. Parker passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home in Dadeville. He was born and raised in Shelby County for most of his life before settling in Dadeville in the 90’s. As a young man, he herded cattle with his Quarter Horse, “Bill” during the WW11 era, and also liked to Hobo on trains. He learned how to do Tile Work from Italians in his 20’s, and eventually began Parker’s Ceramic Tile, where he worked for over 60 years. Mr. Parker worked alongside his two sons doing tile work, as well as dabbling in real estate and remodeling homes. Mr. Parker was a jack of all trades, and was passionate about his work. He had a funny personality, and after 92 years, he had plenty of stories to tell. One of his favorite stories involved catching a ride from Elvis Presley from Louisiana to Tennessee. Mr. Parker was a wonderful Father, Grandfather, and brother to many.

Mr. Parker is survived by two daughters: Jane Annette Pendergrass of Katie, TX and Angela Parker of Dadeville; two sons: William C. Parker Jr. of Ashland and Terry C. Parker of Vincent; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: William Henderson and Dovie M. Parker; two daughters: Rosemary Parker and Mary Parker Smith; and 10 siblings.
