William Clark “Bill” Ethridge, 62, resident of Spring Hill, passed away Sunday, May 20 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Born January 9, 1956 in Meridian, MS, he was the son of Ezola Clark Ethridge Root and the late Thomas Edwin Ethridge, Sr. Bill was married to his high school sweetheart, Deborah Rogers Ethridge, for 40 years. He was a graduate of Meridian High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Bill dedicated 40 years to his career as a manager for Southern Pipe and Supply where he created a family with his team, and he felt deeply for those he worked beside. He attended The Church at Station Hill and put his faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Bill was a hard worker who loved his family dearly. When he wasn’t working, Bill was following his girls wherever they led. He happily trekked to dance recitals, cheerleading competitions or any other activity where he could be with the love of his life proudly supporting and enjoying his daughters. Bill was thrilled to have two beautiful grandchildren; he loved watching them grow and spending time with them. Bill was a gentle, laid-back soul with a heart for others.

A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be conducted at 6:00 PM Sunday, May 27 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Brian Coates officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In addition to his loving wife, Bill is survived by his daughters: Diana Ethridge (fiancé Gary Sanders) and Rachael (Tyler) Houston, both of Columbia; brother: Thomas Edwin (Faye) Ethridge, Jr. of Petal, MS; grandchildren: Nash Sanders and Iris Houston; and numerous family members who were all dear to him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ethan and Mattie Clark, Sidney and Hattie Ethridge.
