Mr. William Christopher “Chris” Smith, 41, died at his residence on Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born in Tupelo, MS on April 20, 1976 to William M. Smith and Cynthia Beall Smith Pate. Chris married Angela Benson on November 3, 2012 in Shannon, MS. He was a very outgoing person who was funny and witty. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding 4-wheelers. He loved his family and friends.
A service honoring his life will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Palestine Baptist Church with Bro. Andy Dozier, Bro. Mark Hoover, and Bro. Wayne Gullett officiating. Private burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Mon.) from 5 PM to 8 PM and Tuesday from 1 PM to service time, all at the church. Survivors include his wife, Angela Smith of Brewer; his mother, Cindy Pate of Plantersville; daughters, Laken Smith and Ashton Smith, both of Brewer; stepson, Blake Ethridge of Orland, FL; sisters, Jessyka Hanna (Tim) of Hot Springs, AR and Latrisha Crump (Martin) of Pass Christian, MS; brother, Hank Pate of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Piper Raine Smith; He is also survived by his special uncle, best friend, and father figure, Dennis Alred of Plantersville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Evans, Bo Tartt, Will Pannell, Mark Pressig, and Stephen Alred.
