William “Chip” Donald Lazenby, Jr.

Dr. William “Chip” Donald Lazenby, Jr. age 69, of Florence, passed away Saturday, December 28,2024.
He was preceded in death by his father, William D. Lazenby, Sr.; grandparents, R.T. and Susie Benton; Carl and Bessie Lazenby.
Survivors are his wife, Peggie A. Lazenby; mother, Elizabeth B. Lazenby; children, William Robert Lazenby (Matti) and Sara Lazenby White; sister, Donna L. Ayers (Larry); grandchildren, Elizabeth Belle Blasingame, Eleanor Claire White, Nathaniel Allen White II, and Sadie Holland; best friends, Dr. Scott Jackson and Norman Elder.
Chip loved hunting, fishing, windsurfing, playing guitar, gardening, and target shooting. He was a 1983 graduate of Auburn University having attained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree. In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Auburn University Veterinarian Scholarship or your favorite conservation group or local animal shelter. A private memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Williams Funeral Home of Florence assisting the family.
