William Cecil Horne, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his parents, Cora Zorn Horne and William Cecil Horne, Sr., and his wife, Joyce Cole Horne. He was a man of strong faith who brought laughter, love, and kindness to this earth. Mr. Horne was a generous and loving husband, dad and grandfather, who enjoyed the Huntsville outdoors with his companion, Calvin. He will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Horne Sterling (Wynn Harris); sons, Jeffrey Robert Horne (Melinda Ford), and William Cecil Horne III (Julie Hull); grandchildren, William Horne Sterling (fiancé, Amy Robinson), Cole Harris Sterling (fiancé, Lauren Nikonchuk), Luke Alexander Horne, Connor Brendan Jones, Austen Mitchell Jones, William Cecil Horne IV, Madison Kate Morrow; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Cole Brown, Patsy Cole Ertzberger (Ray), Charlotte Cole Webb; nieces and nephews; and his dog, Calvin.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Eric Kohler officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
