Mr. William Calvin Rice was born June 10, 1962 In Huntsville, AL to Major and Mildred Rice. He was called to eternal rest on December 19, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, Major Rice Jr.; brother, Jesse Lee Rice; and grandmother, Tensie Martin.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church
He leaves to cherish his memory a wife, Denise Rice of New Orleans, LA; one daughter, Shakira Mitchell (Joyce) of Huntsville, AL; mother, Mildred Rice LaVelle; four sisters: Lois (Orbie) Terrell of Huntsville, AL, Theresa Rice of Birmingham, AL; Bobbie Frieson and Gloria (Jerry) Green, both of Huntsville, AL; two brothers, Walter (Daisy) Rice and Malcolm (Gail) Rice, both of Huntsville, AL.
He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Ricky Moreland officiating. Interment will be in Arnett Cemetery. Mr. Rice will lie in repost one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021 and 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Royal Funeral Home.
