Mr. William C. Breeding, Jr., age 86, of Rock Island, TN passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on August 24, 1938 in Algood, Tennessee, retired from Powermatic, was a volunteer fire fighter for Rock Island for many years, and was a member of the Rock Island Lions Club District 12S.
Survivors include his daughter Regina Kay Cambell, brothers James Lee Breeding of California and Jerry Breeding of Sparta, five grandchildren Zachary (Megan) Breeding, Michael Breeding, Jr., Amy Busic, Bethany (Marc) Wilson, and Crystal Myers, eleven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mr. Breeding was preceded in death by his parents William C. Breeding, Sr. and Nor Lee Cannon Breeding, wife Betty Brock Breeding, brother Joe Breeding, sisters Betty Rigsby and Irene Becker, and son William Michael Breeding.
A graveside service and inurnment will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 03, 2025 at Old Bybee’s Chapel Cemetery on Bybee’s Chapel Road in Rock, Island, TN. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery as there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Volunteer Fire Department at Rock Island.
