William “Buddy” Cosby, of Cherokee, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the age of 72. His visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jackie Pittman officiating. The burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Cosby; son, Lee Cosby; and parents, Fletcher Cosby and Giffie Dexter.
He was survived by his son, Larry Cosby and wife Donna; daughters, Judy Sutton, Patricia Lambert, Kathy Creasy and Martha Poore; twenty one grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Pounders, Jason Creasy, Nathan Allen, Dee Payne, Frankie McCaig and Ronnie Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Creasy and Allen Keller.
