William “Billy” Loyd Keith, age 75, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at NorthCrest Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2pm in the Owens Chapel Cemetery with his family officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. No visitation will be held prior to the graveside service. These arrangements were made at the request of Mr. Keith.
Mr. Keith was born July 20, 1945 in Springfield to the late Bonnie Franklyn and Kathrine Evalois Warren Keith. He worked as a bus driver for Greyhound for over 30 years. After his retirement he drove for Gaylord Opryland. Mr. Keith was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church for 33 years. He loved his family and friends, he loved his church and he loved the Lord.
In addition to his parents Mr. Keith is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Keith. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elsie Hester Keith; children, Renae (Keith) Fehrman of Springfield, William “Bubba” (Kim) Keith of Greenbrier, Aaron (Holli) Keith of White House and Rachel (Michael) Ledman of Cedar Hill; brothers, Frank Keith of Springfield, Ronnie Keith of Springfield and Michael Keith of Greenbrier; sisters, Bonnie June Cleveland of Hendersonville, Juanita Fitzgerald of Frankfort, KY, Barbara (Whitfield) Ellis of Chapmansboro, Wanda (Ray) Harris of Greenbrier, Jeannie (Charles) Ashley of Springfield, Nancy (Gene) Livesey of Lenoir City, TN, and Judy (Mohammad) Pourviseh of Hendersonville; and grandchildren, Nick (Shelby) Keith, Houston (Sy) Fehrman, Hailey (Kim Appledorn) Keith, Alexandra Keith, Logan Ferhman, Ben Ledman and Madison Ledman.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Owens Chapel United Methodist Church. Any donations may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell.
