William “Bill” Way Jeffery, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Tullahoma on September 27, 1947 to the late Way Joe and Birdie Earlene (Farrar) Jeffery. His parents died at an early age, and he was raised by his aunt and uncle, the late Laws and Lula Anderton. Bill served in the United States Army before becoming employed by Harton Hospital in Security Maintenance. He was a member of Elk River Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and woodworking in his spare time. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his son, Toby Alan Jeffery; daughter, Kelly Leigh Jeffery; half-brother, Jason Ray; and sister-in-law, Kay Jeffery. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Wilma Williams Jeffery; son, Steve (Sandra) Jeffery of Lynchburg; brothers, Tommy Joe Jeffery of Tullahoma, and Andy (Michelle) Anderton of Donelson; grandchildren, Steven Tyler (Tara) Jeffery, Cody Bush, Shayla (Jerry) Davis, and Sean Jeffery; great-grandchildren, Gannon Davis, Greyson Jeffery, and Addaleigh Davis; several nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family members and friends; and loving pet companion, Leah. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Elder Leon Williams and Elder Donald Gregory officiating.
