Funeral service for William “Bill” Hancock, 84, of Hartselle will be Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Blackman officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Hancock, who died January 18, 2014 at his residence, was born August 1, 1929 in Morgan County to Rev. Garland T. and Nell Hancock. Bill Hancock worked as assistant manager of Pet Milk Company in Decatur from 1958 to 1978; he later became manager and part owner of Aquatech of Birmingham, DBA Pure Pack Ice Pelham, AL where he retired in 1993.
Mr. Hancock and his wife Lillian Shedd Hancock were married 67 years this past New Year’s Eve; they are members of East Highland Baptist Church. Mr. Hancock was an ordained deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Garland T. and Nell Hancock; one brother, Garland Hancock, Jr; two sisters, Peggy Martin and Doris Willis; one daughter, Threasa Hogan Sandlin and grandchild Christian Robin Hogan.

Wife- Lillian Shedd Hancock
Son- William Michael Hancock (Jean)
Daughter- Suzanne Hancock Freeman (Robert)
Six Grandchildren- Craig Hogan (Michelle), Cissy Hogan Locklear (Clay), Becky Hogan Smith (Shawn), Matthew Hancock (Teresa), Zachary Hancock, Mary-Katherine Freeman Keenum (Gray).
9 Great grandchildren.
Mr. Hancock was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed greatly. He is in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
