 Mr. William “Bill” David Swaim, Jr., age 85 of Huntsville passed away Thursday March 21st, 2019.  He was born August 19th, 1933 to William and Doris Campbell Martin Swaim, Sr. in Huntsville, Alabama.

Mr. Swaim graduated Hazel Green High School in 1951. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, Thiokol and Federal Service.  After retirement he enjoyed time on the lake with friends and family.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years Johnnie Marie McMurtrie Swaim; his sister Barbara Swaim; two daughters Jeri Swaim Kirkpatrick (Tim) and Joni Swaim and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his best buddy “Baby Dog”.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his favorite uncle, Frank.

Mr. Swaim supported the Mayfair Church of Christ, especially the Cuban Mission and Twickenham Church of Christ.  He is best remembered for his kindness and generosity by helping and caring for others.  He was always happy and outgoing, he lloved life and never ever met a stranger.

The family will receive friends Saturday March 23rd, 2019 from 4 to 6pm at Spry Funeral Home, North Memorial Parkway.  The funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 2pm at Spry Funeral Home with Stan Hovis officiating.  Internment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
