Willard Edward Strange Sr., age 84, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, May 9, 2017. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 13, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m., at Shoals Memorial Gardens. Rusty Holt will officiate. Military honors will be rendered.
Mr. Strange was a native of Tuscumbia and retired from Reynolds Metals Co. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Strange was also a Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Strange; parents, Marvin and Dora Strange; and siblings, Bradley Strange and Carolyn Strange Singer.
Survivors include a son, Eddie Strange Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Strange Welker; sisters, Jean Holt, Peggy Wimberly, and Nita Robinson; brother, Jerry Strange; grandchildren, Tatum Jefferys, Justin Jefferys, Matthew Moss, Andrew Fields, and Mackenzie Strange; and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
