Willa Dean Thompson Lenard, age 94 of Jasper, AL passed away peacefully on the morning of February 3, 2023 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living.
Willa Dean was an educator in Walker County Alabama for 30 years. She was a pillar of the community and educated generations of families. She attended Oakman United Methodist Church for decades and before her death she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jasper.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Day Cemetery.
Mrs. Lenard was preceded in death by her First husband-Tullie Thompson of Oakman; Son-Dale Thompson of Oakman.
She is survived by her Loving husband of almost 20 years-Abe Lenard; her beloved Three grandchildren-Matthew, Marcus (Lorena) and Zachary (Faith) Thompson; her Great Granddaughter-Madeline Marie Thompson; Sons-in-law-Jeff Lenard (Debbie) and Gary Lenard (Sandra); Sister-Nahelia Zan Hamilton; Brothers-Huey and Duey Sides; Several nieces and nephews.
