Wiley Bascom “Bud” “Scotty” Scott, 77, died April 1, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, John Wiley Scott and Edna Evans Scott; sister, Beatrice Scott Robinson. Survived by wife of 45 years, Judy; daughter, Cynthia Scott, Nashville; sisters, Gladys Scott, Gertrude Black and Nina Smith, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews from Alabama and Tennessee.
He was a dedicated Christian and an Engineer for the USDA-SCS/NRCS.
Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and noon to 2 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gene Fant Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the NBA Christmas Toy Store or Smith Springs Baptist Church.
