Wildes Myrick Hill – Obituary

Wildes Myrick Hill, 89 of Lacey’s Spring Alabama died Wednesday December 21, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Hill was born September 18, 1927 in Morgan County Alabama the son of Zebedee James Hill and Nina Louise Myrick Hill. He worked for NASA as an engineer until his retirement in 1982. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was very active with the Lacey’s Spring Senior Center, AARP of Marshall County and was a volunteer with The Brindlee Mountain Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his grand children, being outdoors, fishing, traveling and loved dancing.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Hill is survived by his children and in-laws: David L. and Carrie Hill, Deborah Swafford and Dolores Gullion; a brother Duran Hill; his sisters: Ocie Smith, Elizabeth Muhlhauser and Beatrice Griffin; grandchildren: Denise Swafford and Pete Hermansen, Joshua Gullion, Mary Ellen Hill and Andrew Hill; great grandchildren: Rhiannon Snyder and Corey Merritt. He was preceded in death by a sister Metresic “Patsy” Ann Rutledge.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday December 23, 2016 at Hill Family Cemetery in Morgan City with Brother: Eldridge Criscoe officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Gullion, Andrew Hill, Wayne Morrow, Steve Montgomery, Tim Rutledge and Jeff Rutledge.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
