Funeral Service for Wilda Listina Holmes, age 87, of Eva, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church with Heath Williams and Josh Mason officiating; interment in Gum Pond Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Holmes passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at her residence. She was born November 18, 1931, to Alvin O. and Lilly Millwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Shane Holmes, Wilda was the last surviving sibling of thirteen.
Survivors include her husband, Arvid L. Holmes; children, Danny (Anita) Holmes, Jerry (Susan) Holmes, Wanda (Scott) Hunt, and Jeff Holmes; grandchildren, Terry (Angela) Holmes, Michael (Amanda) Holmes, Kristy (Jonathan) Sears, Adam (Nicole) Holmes, Jamie (Bridget) Holmes, Seth (Brittany) Holmes, Char (Kevin) Fisk, Kendall (Kenda) Hunt, and Debra McGlone; great-grandchildren, Jon Holmes, Savannah Holmes, Michaela Holmes, Annie Holmes, Amy Holmes, Tatum (Garrett) Garvin, Lanna Fisk, Merritt Fisk, Brianna (Joshua) Hitch, Andrea McGlone, Austin Hunt, Austin Holmes, Harmony Holmes, Kayd Martin, Ella Holmes, Oakley Holmes, Kayden Holmes, and Kenlea Holmes; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church.
