Wilda Jean Lakela, age 90, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at NHC Lewisburg.

Born August 6, 1929 in Valley Township, IA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Sanders Burkybile. She worked for General Motors as a bookkeeper/accountant.
Mrs. Lakela is survived by her daughter: Rhonda (Danny) King of Columbia; son: Rick (Angie) Lakela of California; step-daughter: Sherry Lakela of Fresno, CA; brother: Dick (Janet) Burkybile of Arkansas; sister: Shirley Marzant of Council Bluff, IA; 3 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Ralph, Dale, Pete and Rod; sisters: Ruth and Norma.
