Wilburn Harvey Jones, Jr., age 88 of Huntsville passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years: Bonnie Waters Walker Jones; son: Rickie D. Jones (Pam); three daughters: Charlotte Jones Gharib (Jim), Tina Walker Stanley, Amy Davis Walker Pitts (Bill); four granddaughters: Nichelle Jones Sharer (Robert), Danielle Jones Collum (Travis), Haylee Walker, and Carlie Walker; three grandsons: Robert Stanley (Taylor), Bryan Stanley and Wesley Walker; four great-grandchildren: Madison Sharer, Brinley Sharer, Zoey Walker and Lorelie Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother Wilburn H. Jones, Sr., and Elma Lingerfelter Tucker; his first wife Thomas Jeannette Clark Jones, one daughter Cynthia Oline Jones, two sons Hardy Lee Walker III and Jeffrey Glenn Stanley, and one great-grandson Gunner Oakley Stanley.
Mr. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He retired from Huntsville Utilities Gas Department and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church.
Visitation is Wed., Jan. 15, 2020, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. The funeral service is Thurs. Jan. 16, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home officiated by Bobby Gordon and Lon Ostrzycki Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
