Wilburn Chester “WC” Braswell, Jr. age 83 of Smithville passed away Tuesday April 14, 2026, at N H C of Smithville. He was born November 24, 1942, to his parents the late, Wilburn Chester and Frances Ruth Ferrell Braswell, Sr. Mr. Braswell attended Smithville First Baptist Church and was a teacher for many years. He is survived by three children, John (Leigh Ann) Braswell, Holly (Phillip) Hendrix, and Heath Braswell; grandchildren, Victoria Cantrell, Holden Hendrix, Jakeb Braswell, Grayson Hendrix, Emmaline Hendrix and Cole Braswell; longtime friend, Betty Lattimore. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service and burial at 11:AM Saturday April 18, 2026, at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mac White officiating. Visitation will be held 3:PM till 7:PM Friday April 17, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. The family ask that donations may be made to Smithville First Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Braswell.
