COLBERT COUNTY-Colbert County Tourism listed just a few of the events for January to help kick the New Year off with a bang:

7th Annual Plunge into the New Year

January 1

Come ring in 2023 at the 7th annual Plunge in the New Year at McFarland Park on January 1st at 1 pm while shedding light on suicide prevention.

Last year’s Plunge brought together over 300 people and raised over one thousand dollars for the AFSP.

Permanent Collection Exhibition

January 10 – January 24

Enjoy highlights from the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art’s permanent collection. (Note: not all galleries will be accessible as staff prepares the spaces for this year’s exhibitions).

Exhibition Hours: Tuesday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm

Admission is free for this partial exhibition.

January 13, 7 pm

Join us at the Ritz as we ring in the new year with the inspirational, creative life of David Bowie! This NEW documentary is limited to select theatres. Contemporary Female Artists Exhibition

January 31 – March 11

This exhibition (Title TBA) will feature five contemporary female artists: Dariana Dervis, Chiharu Roach, Miriam Omura, Tracie Noles-Ross, and Melinda Crider.

Exhibition hours: Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm

Admission: $5 for adults, $3 for students, free for TVAA members
