COLBERT COUNTY-Colbert County has a solid lineup of local events on the calendar this month, and we want to make sure the community has the chance to see what’s available:

Now-March 14, 2026 – Favorite Things: The Shoals Collects, Tennessee Valley Museum
of Art, 511 N. Water St., Tuscumbia. Favorite Things: The Shoals Collects! is an exhibition at
the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art featuring sculpture, ceramic, fiber, drawing, and
painting. The exhibit has been extended until March 14, 2026. For more information, you

March 1, 7, 14, 2026 – Trail Care, Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve, 251 Loop Rd.,
Tuscumbia. Join the Cane Creek Land Stewards for a trail care session at Cane Creek
Canyon at various weekend dates throughout the month of March. Participants will assist
with various tasks, including building natural steps and water control features, updating
trail markers, and clearing debris. No prior experience is necessary, but attendees should
wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring their own water, snacks, and work gloves;
however, extra tools and gloves will be provided. Registration is required for each
individual, and guardians must sign waivers for participating minors. For additional

March 6, 2026 – Paint & Sip Night at Kingpin’s, Kingpin’s, 203 East 6th St., Suite B.
Kingpin’s is hosting a “Paint & Sip Night” on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 9:00
PM. The event features a fresh, spring-inspired cocktail design painted on a 16×20 canvas,
and attendees must be 21 or older to participate. Tickets are required for entry, and
because seating is limited, organizers recommend grabbing spots early. All painting
supplies are included, and drink specials will be available throughout the evening. For

March 6-7, 2026 – “Charlotte’s Web”, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St., Sheffield.
“Charlotte’s Web” tells the story of Wilbur, a pig who is saved from being slaughtered by his
unlikely friend, Charlotte, a spider. Charlotte weaves messages into her web praising
Wilbur, convincing the farmer that he is too special to kill. Their friendship highlights
lessons about life, death, and the importance of others. The event will take place on March

March 7, 2026 – “Historic African American Churches of the Shoals”, Belle Mont
Mansion, 1569 Cook Ln., Tuscumbia. “Historic African American Churches of the Shoals,”
will be the subject of a Black History presentation on March 7 at 2:30 p.m. at Belle Mont
Mansion, 1569 Cook Lane, Tuscumbia. The event is sponsored by the Race Amity Coalition
of Northwest Alabama, the Muscle Shoals Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (Tuscumbia) and Belle Mont Mansion. Speakers will be
local historian Anita Cobb, Dr. Felice Green and representatives of the churches (in addition
to St. Paul), that will be featured: Christian Home Church of Christ, eastern Colbert County;
Mt. Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME), western Lauderdale County; Greater
St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME), Florence; Lesley Temple Christian
Methodist Church (CME), Tuscumbia; First Missionary Baptist Church, Tuscumbia; and
Rock Primitive Baptist Church, Florence. The churches are part of a calendar series

March 7, 2026 – 3rd Annual Pickleball Round Robin, Gattman Park Recreation Center,
2210 Gusmus Ave., Muscle Shoals. The 3rd Annual Robert Eaton Memorial Round Robin
Social will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Gattman Park Recreation Center in
Muscle Shoals, with matches beginning at 8:00 AM. This indoor pickleball event is open to
players of all skill levels for a registration fee of $40, which includes a swag bag and a
guarantee of at least five games. Registration is individual and must be completed by
Friday, February 27th, via the provided online form. All proceeds from the tournament will

March 7, 2026 – Daddy Daughter Prom, Robert Trent Jones Clubhouse, 990 Sunbelt
Parkway, Muscle Shoals. The 11th Daddy Daughter Prom will be held at Robert Trent Jones
at The Shoals on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This premier event for
the Shoals area features dinner, dancing, and photo booth fun for girls ages 5 and up and
the special men in their lives. Suggested attire ranges from Sunday/Party Dress to formal
wear. The event is hosted by Universal Event Services, Candid Memories Photo Booths, and

March 7, 2026 – Pilates in the Park, Gattman Park, 901 Gattman Park Dr., Muscle Shoals.
A refreshing outdoor Pilates class will be held at the Gattman Park Trail on Saturday, March
7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The cost is $10 per person, which includes the session

March 8, 2026 – Shoals Symphony Presents: Variations on America, Norton
Auditorium, Florence. The Shoals Symphony at the University of North Alabama will
present “Variations on America” on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. in the Norton
Auditorium. This performance celebrates America’s upcoming 250th anniversary by
exploring the music of American composers, featuring works such as Charles Ives’
Variations on “America”, Ferde Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite, and Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. The program also includes Paul Creston’s Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra, featuring UNA Solo Artist Contest winner Sinclair Elledge, and a special performance of There Is A Home by Smith, dedicated in honor of David L. March 7, 2026 – Sustainable Trail Work Day, TVA Muscle Shoals Trails Complex, 73
Thunder Rd., Muscle Shoals. Sustainable Trails Work Day will be held at the TVA Muscle
Shoals Trails Complex on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Volunteers
will help maintain historic Civilian Conservation Corps trails, beginning with a
demonstration and training session at the picnic pavilion. This event is for ages 18 and up
and involves physical labor, so participants should bring water and snacks. For more

March 10, 2026 – Sheffield Public Library Presents: Dolores Hydock, Sheffield Public
Library, 316 N. Montgomery Ave., Sheffield. Dolores Hydock, an actress and story
performer, will present “Going the Extra Mile: The Race Around the World by Nellie Bly and
Elizabeth Bisland” at the Sheffield Public Library. This performance tells the story of two
women who made headlines in 1889 by racing in opposite directions around the globe. The

March 12, 2026 – An Evening with Lenny LeBlanc, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St.,
Sheffield. Join us for a spring evening with Lenny Leblanc, a Muscle Shoals original, and his
band on Thursday, March 12 at the Ritz Theatre. The show begins at 7 pm and doors open
at 6:30. Enjoy a mix of pop, country, and gospel favorites. Proceeds support the Ritz
Theatre and the Sheffield Public Library. Presented in recognition of America’s 250th
birthday. All seating is general admission and first come first serve. Orchestra seating ($30)
is downstairs, and balcony seating ($25) is upstairs. Handicap accessible seating is

March 14, 2026 – Live at The Ritz: Crews Wright, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St.,
Sheffield. Crews Wright, an 18-year-old country music artist from Samson, Alabama, will
perform at The Historic Ritz Theatre on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Tickets for
the show are $20. Wright has gained significant recognition in the country music scene,
including five consecutive “Male Vocalist of the Year” awards from the North American
Country Music Association International (2021–2025). In 2022, he won “Southern Lights:
The Search for a Star,” which led to a record deal with Paradigm Music Group. He further
increased his profile by earning a “Golden Ticket” on season 23 of American Idol, where he
advanced to the Top 30. Wright is a Nashville recording artist and songwriter who has

March 14, 2026 – St. Paddy’s Day Kickoff Party, Natchez Trace Harley-Davidson, 595
Highway 72 W., Tuscumbia. The St. Paddy’s Day Kickoff Party will take place all day on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Natchez Trace Harley-Davidson in Tuscumbia. March 14, 2026 – Group Ride, Hawk Pride Offroad, 3834 Hawk Pride Mountain Rd.,
Tuscumbia. Hawk Pride Offroad will host a Group Ride on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Participants can meet at the Love’s Travel Stop in Tuscumbia (at the corner of AL-20/Hwy
72 and Wilson Dam Rd) at 8:00 AM to depart by 8:30 AM, or meet the group at the park
around 9:00 AM. The trail ride will be paced according to the experience level of the least
experienced rider, making it accessible for various skill levels. Admission to Hawk Pride is
$20 per person (children under 10 are free), and waivers can be signed at the gate or

March 15, 2026 – Circus Pop!, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St., Sheffield. Circus Pop!
The Giant Bubble Show, featuring the talents of Ringling Bros. alumnus Logan Jimenez, will take place at the Ritz Theatre on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. This 60-minute one-man show combines world-class bubble artistry with magic, circus skills, and comedy, featuring stunts such as bubble volcanoes, contortion, and creating giant bubbles. For

March 19, 2026 – 70’s Juke Box Countdown, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St., Sheffield.
The Ritz Theatre will host the “70s Jukebox Countdown” on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at
7:00 PM. This fast-paced, family-friendly music show celebrates America’s greatest hits
from 1970 through 1979, featuring a mix of rock, dance, pop, and love songs from the

March 20-24, 2026 – Trail Riders United Ride, Seven Springs Lodge, 1292 Mount Mills
Rd., Tuscumbia. Experience the beauty of the outdoors with the whole family at the Trail
Riders United organized ride, hosted at Seven Springs Lodge from March 20th through
March 24th, 2026. This multi-day event offers guided trail rides designed for all ages and
skill levels to enjoy together. Beyond the trails, the weekend is packed with entertainment
including live music, bingo, great food, and dancing. It is a wonderful way to connect with

March 21, 2026 – Kite Day and Egg Hunt, Belle Mont Mansion, 1569 Cok Ln., Tuscumbia.
Returning for its 4th year in 2026 is Belle Mont’s popular Kite Day and Egg Hunt event!
This event will take place on March 21st at 10:30. Children 12 and under are invited to visit
Belle Mont Mansion to fly kites, hunt Easter eggs, have story time, color, tour historic Belle
Mont, and eat popcorn! This program is free and kites will be provided. Reservations are

March 21, 2026 – NWSCC Community Day Fun Run, Northwest Shoals Community
College, 800 George Wallace Blvd., Muscle Shoals. The NWSCC Community Day Fun Run, presented by First Metro Bank, will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Northwest Shoals Community College Patriot Park. On-site registration begins at 10:00 AM, with the Fun Run starting at 10:30 AM on the TVA Community Credit
Union Trail. This event kicks off a full Community Day featuring Patriots baseball and softball games starting at noon, along with food trucks and bounce houses. All Fun Run participants will receive a Patriots t-shirt.

March 21, 2026 – Trade Days at The Cove, Downtown Cherokee. Trade Days in Cherokee
will return to downtown Cherokee on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This community flea market and craft event features a wide variety of vendors offering
western gear, antiques, handmade goods, and more. Vendor spots are available for $25.00,
and those interested in participating or seeking additional information can contact Tammie

March 21, 2026 – Live Music at Groundhog Coffee Co., Groundhog Coffee Co., 320 North
Montgomery Ave., Sheffield. Groundhog Coffee Co. is hosting its first-ever punk rock show
featuring performances by Slugworthy, Strange Waves, and Plot 27 on Saturday, March 21,
2026. The doors will open at 7:00 PM, with the music beginning at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $10

March 21, 2026 – Rock the Trace, Natchez Trace Harley-Davidson, 595 Hwy. 72 West, Tuscumbia. Natchez Trace Harley-Davidson will host “Rock the Trace,” part of its All-American Concert Series, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. This free admission event featureslive music by Southern Breeze on the big stage, as well as food provided by Papa Dano’s.

March 21, 2026 – Village School Volunteer Day, Village School, 200 Chickamauga St.,
Sheffield. The Village School and the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area (MSNHA) are
teaming up for their first volunteer event of the year on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Held at 200 Chickamauga St. in Sheffield, the day will focus on
various improvement projects, including cleaning, painting, scraping, yard work, and
organizing. No experience is necessary, and all supplies and direction will be provided.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear clothes suitable for manual labor—such as jeans and
closed-toe shoes—and are welcome to bring their own work gloves. Even if you cannot
commit to the full three hours, you are encouraged to stop by. To sign up or to share any
specialized skills you might be able to contribute, you can reach out to The Village School

March 21 & 28, 2026 – Easter Bunny at Rick’s Farm Market, Rick’s Farm Market, 3406
S. Wilson Dam Ln., Muscle Shoals. Rick’s Farm Market will host the 2026 Easter Bunny on
two consecutive Saturdays, March 21 and March 28, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This is a free
community event where families are encouraged to bring their own cameras to capture

March 27-30, 2026 – Seven Springs Lodge Annual Mule Ride, Seven Springs Lodge,
1292 Mount Mills Rd., Tuscumbia. Join us at Seven Springs Lodge from March 27th through
March 30th, 2026, for a dedicated Mule Ride event! Whether you are a seasoned rider or
just starting out, you can enjoy guided trail rides, a mule competition obstacle course, and
informative mule seminars. There will also be a tack sale on-site for all your equipment
needs. If you’re planning to stay overnight, be sure to call the office at (256) 370-7218 to
