COLBERT COUNTY-Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, the weather may be cool, but our
local events here in Colbert County are heating up.
January’s happenings are attached, along
with a sneak peek at some exciting events coming up through March.
January 10, 2025 – Leighton Workforce Development Class- Leighton Library, 8740
Main St, Leighton. Workforce Development classes beginning next Friday in Leighton at
no charge. Classes will take place every Friday for the next six weeks. This amazing
opportunity is provided by a grant for the town of Leighton through the USDA. For more

January 11, 2025 – Trail Care Day: Cane Creek Canyon – Cane Creek Canyon, 251
Loop Rd, Tuscumbia. Help our friends at the North Alabama Land Trust build and
maintain trails to ensure Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve remains accessible for

January 15, 2025 – Counts Brothers Music Presents: “West Side Stories” – Counts
Brothers Music, 713 Waverly Ave, Muscle Shoals. Experience the rich history of the
West Side through the voices of its musical legends! We are excited to present ‘West
Side Stories’ here at Counts Brothers Music on Wednesday, January 15th, at 10:30 AM.
This event will bring together Johnnie Hammon, Leroy Thompson, Earnest Davis, Oliver
James Roy, and Larry Oates for a morning of captivating storytelling. Moderated by Tori
Bailey, it will be a unique opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of the West Side’s

January 18-19, 2025– Gun and Knife Show- North Alabama State Fairgrounds, 65
Sportsplex Drive Muscle Shoals. The Muscle Shoals Gun & Knife Show will be held
next on Jan 18th-19 th ,2025 with additional shows on Jun 7th-8th, 2025, and Oct 25th-
26th, 2025 in Muscle Shoals, AL. Event hours are 9 AM-5 PM (Saturday) and 10 AM- 4
PM (Sunday). This Muscle Shoals gun show is held at North Alabama Fairgrounds and
hosted by A.G. Gun Shows. All federal and local firearm laws and ordinances must be

January 18- 28, 2025– Legacy: Influential Women Artists of the Shoals- Tennessee
Valley Museum of Art, 511 W. Water Street, Tuscumbia. The Tennessee Valley Museum

January 21, 2025 – Live at Norton Auditorium: Pam Tillis – Norton Auditorium, 500 N
Pine Street, Florence. Step into a world of wonder with Pam Tillis, where extraordinary

January 23-26, 2025 – Cypress Moon Studios Presents: Call Me Bean- Cypress
Moon Studios, 1000 Alabama Ave Sheffield. Cypress Moon Studios Presents: ‘Call Me
Bean’ on January 23rd-26th. Sabrina is a normal teenager. She goes to school. She
loves sports. She especially loves her friends, but she does she doesn’t tolerate

January 31, 2025– Screening of ‘The Outsiders’ with C. Thomas Howell- The Ritz
Theatre, 111 W 3rd St, Sheffield. Screening of the movie, The Outsiders, as you spend
an evening with actor C Thomas Howell (Ponyboy), and he tells stories from his
experiences on the set of the movie along with a Q&A session. Afterwards there will be
an opportunity for a Meet & Greet. Merchandise will be available on site. Tickets are

February 1, 2025 – Live at The Ritz Theatre: Officer Eudy – The Ritz Theatre, 111 W
3rd St, Sheffield. Kevin Eudy never intended to become a social media star. Eudy was
just a small-town police officer with a couple of children and a sense of humor. Because
of that sense of humor, a couple of friends suggested he try to do a few videos on the
social media platform, TikTok. Eudy began doing short videos about the life of a cop, but
it was when he started including stories of his children – particularly his daughter,
nicknamed Scoot, that things took off. He gets most of his material from living everyday

February 1, 2025 – Muscle Shoals Sound Studio Ghost Hunt and Interactive
Paranormal Investigation – Muscle Shoals Sound, 3614 Jackson Highway, Sheffield.

February 3, 2025 – Adam Ezra Group- Cypress Moon Studios, 1000 Alabama Ave,

bands, Adam Ezra Group! Adam Ezra Group was awarded New England Music Award’s
Americana Act of The Year 2023! John Oates and Adam Ezra released their latest song,

February 7-8, 2025 – 7th Annual Northwest Alabama Farm Toy Show- Clarion Inn,
4900 Hatch Blvd, Sheffield. The 7th Annual Northwest Alabama Farm Toy Show will be
at the Clarion Inn on Feb 7-8, 2025. This is an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade farm
toys. There will be a display competition, door prizes, and a pedal tractor raffle. Hours
are Friday, February 7th: 4pm-8:30pm, and Saturday, February 8th: 8:30am-2pm.
February 13-15, 2025 – Southern States Motorsports Expo – North Alabama State
Fairground, 65 Sportsplex Drive, Muscle Shoals. The 2nd annual Southern States
Motorsports Expo will be held at the North Alabama State Fairgrounds in Muscle Shoals
Alabama. This is an event for ALL forms of motorsports. This is where racers can meet
vendors and discuss all things new and exciting for 2025. Dirt, Asphalt, off-road, Drag,
