Now- August 1, 2026 – It’s In the Water: The Musical Heritage of the Shoals, Tennessee
Valley Museum of Art, 511 W. Water St., Tuscumbia. The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art
will host an exhibition titled It’s In the Water: The Musical Heritage of the Shoals from now
through Saturday, August 1, 2026. Presented by the Tennessee Valley Art Association, the
exhibition will open daily at 9:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM. For more information regarding

August 2, 2026 – “The Lady: Ten Things You May Not Know About the Statue of
Liberty”, Helen Keller Public Library, 511 N. Main St., Tuscumbia. Helen Keller Public
Library will host “The Lady: Ten Things You May Not Know About The Statue of Liberty” on
Sunday, August 2 at 2:00 p.m. Presented by storyteller Dolores Hydock and funded by the
Alabama Humanities Alliance, this presentation explores fascinating, lesser-known history
and stories surrounding the iconic Statue of Liberty. Admission is free and open to the
public.
August 6, 2026 – Lauren Nossett Meet & Greet, The Logan Room, 307 N. Montgomery
Ave, Sheffield. Sheffield Public Library will host a Meet & Greet with award-winning thriller
author Lauren Nossett on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at The Logan Room. The event begins
with small bites at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation by Nossett at 6:30 p.m. Sponsored
by the Friends of Sheffield Public Library, this program is completely free to attend, though
attendees are asked to call 256-386-5633 or stop by the library to sign up. Court Street
Books will also be on-site with books available for purchase.
August 6, 2026 – Fresh Flower Arranging with Susan Rowe, Tennessee Valley Museum
of Art, 511 N. Water St, Tuscumbia. The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art will host a Fresh
Flower Arranging class taught by Susan Rowe on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m. Part of the TVAA School of the Arts adult class series, the workshop costs $50
per participant, with all floral materials and supplies provided. For registration details or

August 6-9, 2026 – The Full Moon Players presents: Agatha Christie’s And Then There
Were None, Cypress Moon Studios, 1000 Alabama Ave., Sheffield. Cypress Moon Studios
and The Full Moon Players will present Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None at
Cypress Moon Studios, located at 1000 Alabama Ave in Sheffield, Alabama, from August 6
through August 9, 2026. Produced by Tonya Holly and directed by Wesley Thompson,
performances run Thursday through Saturday at 7:00 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2:00

August 11- September 12, 2026 – TVAA Member Art Exhibition, Tennessee Valley
Museum of Art, 511 W. Water St., Tuscumbia. The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art will
host ArtWorks, the annual Tennessee Valley Art Association member art exhibition. This
large and diverse exhibition showcases the extraordinary skill and creativity of artists
across the Tennessee Valley and surrounding regions. The exhibition will open on August

August 13, 2026 – Muscle Shoals Meets the 90’s Country, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd
Street, Sheffield. The Ritz Theatre will host “Muscle Shoals Meets The 90s Country” on
August 13 at 7:00 p.m. as part of 90’s Mixtape Week. The concert features Austin Bohannon
alongside an extensive lineup of special guests, including Gary Baker, Gary Nichols, Angela
Hacker, and a special performance by country group Shenandoah featuring Marty Raybon.

August 13, 2026 – Village Workday, Village School, 200 Chickamauga St, Sheffield. The
Village School Foundation will host a Volunteer Day alongside the Muscle Shoals National
Heritage Area on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteers will
tackle projects like cleaning, painting, and yard work. No experience is needed, and
supplies are provided. Just wear comfortable work clothes and closed-toe shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. To sign up or learn more, visit

August 20-23, 2026 – Rally at the Rattler, Rattlesnake Saloon, 1292 Mount Mills Rd.,
Tuscumbia. The Rattlesnake Saloon will host the Rally at the Rattler from August 20
through August 23, 2026. This multi-day gathering is designed exclusively as an adult-only,
21+ event tailored for motorcycle riders and mature participants. For more details

August 27-30, 2026 – Dearly Beloved, The Ritz Theatre, 111 West 3rd St., Sheffield. The
Ritz Theatre will present the production of “Dearly Beloved” August 27-30th. This witty,
heartfelt comedy explores grief, forgiveness, and family dynamics through an over-the-top
wedding featuring three feuding sisters and a church full of small-town eccentrics. For

August 28-30, 2026 – SkyDog Festival, Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa and the Shoals
Convention Center, 10 Hightower Pl, Florence. SkyDog – The Shoals Experience takes place
from August 28 through August 30, 2026, at the Renaissance Shoals Resort & Spa and the
Shoals Convention Center. This three-day music event features performances by Maggie
Rose, Jackson Dean, and Wet Willie featuring Jimmy Hall. For tickets and more information,

August 29, 2026 – 2026 Alabama State Duck Calling Contest, Tuscumbia Depot and
Roundhouse, 204 West 5th St., Tuscumbia. The 2026 Alabama State Calling Contest will
feature an action-packed lineup of competitive duck calling divisions. The event kicks off
with the Alabama State competition at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Heart of Dixie Regional
at 12:00 p.m., and wraps up with the high-intensity Singing River Showdown (Cutdown) at
1:00 p.m. There is a $50 entry fee per division, and attendees can purchase lunch on-site
