COLBERT COUNTY-The Colbert County Tourism Bureau is excited to share the upcoming August 2025 Happenings In Colbert County.

The lineup for August has local events and activities that will have something for everyone and bring our community together.

August 2, 2025 – “Every Piece Matters” Golf Tournament – Cypress Lakes Golf & Tennis,
1311 E 6th St, Muscle Shoals. Join “Every Piece Matters Autism Awareness” for their 2025
Every Piece Matters Swing for a Cause Charity Golf Tournament. This event will be held at
Cypress Lakes Golf Course in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The
tournament will feature a three-man scramble format, with a shotgun start scheduled for 8 AM,
though this time is subject to change. Registration is $300 per team, and participants will have
opportunities to purchase mulligans, putting contest chances, power drives, and silent auction
items on the day of the event. In a special tradition for Every Piece Matters events, the winners
of each flight will receive unique, handmade rock trophies crafted by the children who directly

August 2, 2025 – Tangled – The Ritz Theatre, 111 3rd Street, Sheffield. The Ritz Theatre
invites you to a special showing of Disney’s “Tangled” on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The movie
will begin at 11:00 AM, and concessions will be available for purchase. Before the film, families
are encouraged to join a delightful Princess & Knight Pre-Party starting at 10:00 AM. Children
are welcome to come dressed in their favorite princess or knight attire and enjoy decorating a
princess crown or knight sword. Admission for this enchanting event is $10. The Ritz Theatre is

August 2,8,16,22, 2025 – Trail Care – Cane Creek Canyon Nature Preserve, 251 Loop Road,
Tuscumbia. Join the Cane Creek Land Stewards for a hands-on trail care day at Cane Creek
Canyon Nature Preserve. This important volunteer opportunity involves building natural steps
and water control features, updating trail markers, and assisting with trail cutbacks and clearing
debris from the trails. No prior experience is required to participate, making it accessible for
everyone interested in contributing to the maintenance of our local natural spaces. Participants
are recommended to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring personal water, snacks, and work
gloves, though extra water, gloves, and tools will also be provided on site. Led by Kat
Robertson, this event offers a chance to help maintain and improve our trails while enjoying the
great outdoors. Please note that registration is required, and a separate registration form must
be completed for each individual participating, as each person must sign a waiver. Guardians

August 7-9, 2025 – Rock of Ages – Cypress Moon Studios, 1000 Alabama Ave., Sheffield.
Cypress Moon Studios and The Full Moon Players are proud to present “Rock of Ages,” a
musical where dreams, love, and rock-n-roll collide. This exciting production is written by Chris
D’Arienzo and is produced and directed by Tonya Holly, with assistant direction by Amanda
Perry. The music direction is by Hannah Ross and choreography by Ladarius Prince. The show
features the iconic music of artists such as Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Poison, Styx, Journey, and
many more. “Rock of Ages” will be performed August 7-9, with additional encores to be

heartwarming play that follows five Southern women whose enduring friendship began on their
college swim team. This engaging production chronicles their annual summer reunions at the
same cherished beach cottage in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The narrative unfolds
across four significant weekends, spanning 33 years, offering a compelling look at their evolving
lives, the deepening bonds of their friendships, and the complexities of their relationships.

August 8, 2025 – Hawk Pride Badge of Honor Trip– Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad, 3874
Hawk Pride Mountain Road, Tuscumbia. Absolution Offroad invites experienced off-road
enthusiasts to join them for the Hawk Pride-Badge of Honor Trip #6, a challenging excursion
scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025. Participants should meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot
outside the park office at Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad, located at 3874 Hawk Pride Mountain
Road in Tuscumbia, Alabama. This trip is designed for seasoned riders, navigating trails ranked
as a hard six on the technical scale, requiring a high level of skill and cooperation. Attendees
are expected to actively participate in spotting and providing assistance to fellow drivers,
maintaining awareness of vehicles both ahead and behind. By joining this event, participants
acknowledge and agree to Absolution Offroad’s liability and personal injury waiver. For those
seeking accommodation, many members of Absolution Offroad will be staying at the Coldwater
Inn in Tuscumbia, approximately eight miles from Hawk Pride. Guests are encouraged to
