On September 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, Wesley Britton Richey Jr. was lifted by the Angels to join his beloved wife, Mary Louise Richey, and to be with his heavenly father. He was a kind and caring daddy and an amazing granddaddy. He loved flowers, gospel music, Jesus and his family.
He was a hard working man who cared deeply for others. He was a Devout Christian. He read his Bible and prayed avidly. He had a joyous sense of life and he was a humorous person.
He enjoyed a good joke. He was an active Member of Deer Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent.
He spent his last days in the in the home of Renee and Bryan Sims who he loved and cherished. He was cared for by many caregivers. He served his Country in the United States Army during World War 2. He had many vocations in his life time, Pipefitter, Realtor farmer and United States Postal Worker. He a 32 Degree Mason and Shriner. He will be missed by his children, grandchildren , great Grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 2:00PM at Deer Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Foreman and Rev. Harold Coomer officiating with burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home Directing. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
He was a Member of Deer Springs Baptist Church. He was Preceded in death by Parents, Wesley Britton Richey Ss and Emma Roselee Randolph Richey. Daughter, Donna Sheeks Baggett. 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
