Wendell “Red” Lemmond

Funeral service for Wendell “Red” Lemmond age 82 of Falkville will be Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 1:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Pearl Jenkins officiating with burial in the Center Springs Cemetery in Somerville with military honors and  Peck Funeral Home directing.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Lemmond, who was born March 24, 1937 in Morgan County to Everett C. Lemmond and Irene Blankenship Lemmond, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was retired from Ebasco Services where he worked as a Welding Engineer specializing in nuclear plant construction. He loved and enjoyed playing music and playing golf. He gave his life to the Lord at age 81 and was baptized at Roundtop Community Church.

 

He is survived by a son, Lavoyd Lemmond (Carisa); two daughters, Loretta Halbrooks and Lavon Halbrooks (Ivan); two brothers, Carlton Lemmond (Debra) and Marshall Lemmond (Zhefei); two sisters, Jan Orme (Bill) and Carolyn Roberts (Robert). Eight Grandchildren, Eleven Great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
