Wendell Pitts, 74 of Florence passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Larry Burbank officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Wendell was the owner of Ace Tree Service. The family will carry on his legacy that he was so proud of.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbie and Omie Pitts; son, Johnny Pitts; three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his sons, Steven and Billy Pitts and Tony Williams; daughters, Diane Vaughn (Keith) and Marilyn Lisby; three brothers, two sisters; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special grandchildren, Payten, Khyla, and special friend, Laura Vinson.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Lovelace, Wayne Pitts, Ledford Brown, Steven Matthews, Jerry Atkinson, Algine Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Lovelace, Steven Pitts, Kolby Vaughn, and Brian Vaughn.
