TUSCUMBIA –  Self-styled ‘Juggalo’, Ronald Eugene (Wikkid) Weems, has been sentenced to life-plus-ten for the brutal 2011 slaying of Amanda Taylor. Weems was sentenced this morning in Colbert County Circuit Court. He got the life-sentence for the murder, and 10 more years for the brutal dismemberment of her body.

Testimony in last year’s trial indicated that Weems murdered 31-year-old Taylor because she absconded with his girlfriend’s, Laurel Ann Pruett, child support check. The Weems is the child’s father. The 4-year old was in the custody of Weem’s mother at the time of the murder. Weem’s strangled Taylor with a nylon strap in October, 2011, according to court testimony.

Pruett, and two others, Matthew Fox and Ashley Greenhill were sentenced earlier this month for their part in the crime. Fox, Pruett and Greenhill pleaded guilty to abuse of a corpse and hindering prosecution, both Class C felonies. They helped Weems dismember Taylor’s body and distribute the remains in the Gnat Pond area of Colbert County. These three got 10 years for their crime.
