Snow TurkeyTHE SHOALS-The latest weather alerts from Florence/Lauderdale EMA.   We will keep you up-to-date on the changing weather for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday.  For the latest weather radar check out our map on the front page!

THE APPROACH OF A STORM SYSTEM FROM THE WEST WILL BRING A CHANCE
OF RAIN…MIXED AT TIMES WITH SLEET…FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT. THE
MIX OF PRECIPITATION SHOULD BECOME ALL RAIN AROUND MIDNIGHT. NO
ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY…

THE STORM SYSTEM SHOULD EXIT TO THE EAST…CAUSING THE RAIN TO
MIX WITH…OR BECOME ALL SNOW DURING TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
ACCUMULATIONS SHOULD REMAIN UNDER AN INCH IN THE MOUNTAINS OF
NORTHEAST ALABAMA…AND ON THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU OF SOUTHERN
MIDDLE TENNESSEE.

SINCE TEMPERATURES WILL BE QUITE CLOSE TO THE FREEZING MARK
AND SLIGHT VARIATIONS CAN HAVE BIG IMPACTS ON PRECIPITATION
TYPE…CHANGES TO THE FORECAST OF PRECIPITATION TYPE REMAIN
POSSIBLE AS THE EVENT UNFOLDS THIS WEEK.
