Waytana Dennette Taylor was called home to rest on Friday, November 17, 2023. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 16, 1972, to Linda Joyce Johnson and the late Floyd Thomas Taylor. She was baptized at Old Cowan Road Church of Christ at a young age. Waytana attended public school in Winchester and graduated from Franklin County High School. She was the manager of several different restaurants in Winchester, until her health began to fail. Waytana leaves to cherish her memories, mother, Linda Joyce (Jimmy) Johnson of Winchester; daughters, Trescha Rashae Brown of Nashville, Natalia LaShea Taylor of Winchester; grandchildren, Don’Dre and Torionna Maney; sister, Raqueal Munabbih of Evansville; brothers, William A. Taylor Cardiss Taylor, and Thomas Davis; step-brother, Daquiri Taylor; devoted friends, Nichelle Blackwell and Shriley Hill; the love of her life, Van Nelson; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. We will always cherish the times that were blessed to spend with her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Watson Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm.
