Mr. Wayne Sims, age 81, of Scottsboro, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro First United Methodist Church with Dr. Steven Screws officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Vaught Sims; daughter, Holly (Michael) Donham; son, Taylor Sims; grandchildren, Harrison Michaels and Jini Beth Michaels; sister, Patricia Gamble; brothers, Robert (Wanda) Gamble and Tommy (Laura) Gamble; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Sims; mother, Kathleen Gamble; sister, Sarah Gamble Evans; and grandparents, E.H. and Beatrice Holland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scottsboro Public Library in his memory.
