Wayne Lambert, 72, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at his residence. He was County Surveyor for Tishomingo County for 34 years until his retirement. He enjoyed metal detecting, taking care of his chickens, and being around children. Visitation is scheduled for5 until 9 PM on Monday, July 02 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Audie Huggins. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers include Billy Don Hamm, Jackie Hamm, Robert “Coon” Voyles, Ricky Joe Johnson, Tom Hamm, and Tommy Bonds. Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Conaway, Kenneth Spoons, Gerald Parsons, Nicky McRae, David Nixon, and Glen Whitlock. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his mother, Delia Lambert of Burnsville; 2 brothers – Frank Lambert (Linda) of Burnsville and Jerry Lambert of North Carolina; 2 sisters – Goldie Phifer of Iuka and Racine Yancey of California; 16 nephews and nieces and 10 great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Jefferson David Lambert.
