Wayne Ladue Bright, age 84, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025. Born on April 10, 1940, he was the cherished son of the late Sanford W. and Ola M. Bright.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbra Bright, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. He was also predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mildred “Mimi” Rhoden; two sisters, Quaylene Allen and Mary Flack; his brother, Ronnie Bright; his granddaughter, Haley Dendy; and his great-granddaughter, Aubrey McDaniel.
He is survived by his loving family, including his daughters, Terri Linn Belue and Talma Lee Beck (Joey); his sons, David Wayne Bright (Andrea) and Paul Wayne Bright (Angela); his sister, Myra Lang (Randall); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who brought him endless joy. Wayne’s grandchildren include Malynn and Lacey Satterfield, Zac Dendy, Savanah Slaton (Jordan), Avery Bright, Ashley Bodine, and Amber Nelson (Adam). His great-grandchildren, Lane, Titus, Hannah Nelson, and Malaki Jackson, were a source of pride and delight in his later years.
Wayne was a man of many talents and passions. He had an enduring love for nature, spending countless hours birdwatching and fishing. His skill and dedication to construction and refurbishing mobile homes were well-known, and he took immense pride in his craftsmanship. Wayne found joy in the outdoors and was happiest when surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of his family.
A visitation will be held at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Wayne will be laid to rest at Marshall Memorial Gardens, where he will be honored by his pallbearers: Joey Beck, Zac Dendy, Avery Bright, Jordan Slaton, Larry Bright, and Buddy Smith.
