Wayne Kilburn, 83, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, Feb. 24, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Wayne was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue Kilburn, of Florence, Ala.; son, Roger Kilburn (Katherine), of Florence, Ala.; grandson, Roger Kilburn II, of Seattle, Wash.; and sister, LaQuita Yarber (the Rev. Bill).
His family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family also gives a special thanks to the nursing staffs at Wellington Place and Cypress Cove for the wonderful care given to our dear loved one.
