Wayne Hines, 79, of Florence, passed away January 4, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center. He was retired from the Lauderdale County Road Department and was a long-time member and elder at Stutts Road Church of Christ. Anyone that knew Dad knows how much he loved visiting and talking with family and friends. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. Wayne enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, but his favorite hobby was any and everything that involved his grandchildren – Kirby, Jordan and Lizzie. He was their biggest supporter and rarely missed any of their events. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 1:00pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Tim Grigsby & Bro. Greg Dial officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kirby Hines, Jordan Hines, Jared Hines, Kelvin Green, Brent Green, Heath Hinson, Dale Gist & Jimmy Hollis. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bobby Thomas, Tommy Brown, Dan Beavers, Thomas Wallace, John Harder, Leon Kennedy, Lambert Springer, Kenneth Rogers & Johnny Shaw. The family would like to especially thank the cardiac care unit and the intensive care unit at North Alabama Medical Center.
