Wayne DeWaugh Brown, age 97, passed away on May 21, 2024.
Born in Falkville, AL, Wayne lived in Birmingham, Brewton and Florence. He retired as Postmaster in Brewton. He attended Florence State Teachers College, where he met his wife of 73 years, Virginia Nell Cannon. He served in the U.S. Army, WWII in Germany.
He is survived by daughter, Linda B. Dollar; son, Howard W. Brown; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence on June 3, 2024, 12 noon visitation, 2:00 p.m. funeral service.
