Wayland Jerry Jarrett age 62 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Jarrett was born September 17, 1953 in Limestone County, AL to Willie Carl Jarrett and Bertie Haggermaker Jarrett.
Services will Saturday, January 9, 2016 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Doug Colwell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Jarrett was owner of Jarrett’s Wrecker Service.
Preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertie Jarrett; two sisters, Alice Blahot and Bertha Honea; four sons, Shane Jarrett, Baretta Jarrett, Jerry Jarrett and Tim Russell.
Survived by his wife, Brenda Jarrett of Athens; one daughter, Christina Jarrett of Athens; one step-daughter, Misty Pitts of Athens; three brothers, Roy Jarrett of Athens, Buford Jarrett of Huntsville and David Jarrett of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, B.J. Jarrett, Austin Jarrett, Brady Adams and Peyton Jarrett all of Athens.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Jarrett, Austin Jarrett, Wally Hargrove, Jr., Chance Hargrove, Buck Miller and Bubba Miller.
