WATERLOO-A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning an AT&T account that had been used to upload child pornography was linked to a Waterloo man.
On July 16, investigator from the Lauderdale county Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant to search a home in Waterloo on County Road 14. According to investigators with the Sheriff’s Department they found and seized several items including a computer that was activley displaying child porongraphy.
Jimmy Davis Shook, 67 of Waterloo was arrested and initially charged with 5 counts of Possession of Obscene Matter including photos of persons under the age of 17 involved in obscene acts.
Shook is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond. After further examination of evidence Shook is now facing at the least 1,005 counts of crimes related to child porn. These charges coming after further examination of electronic devices seized from Shook’s residence.
Shook had been released, but investigators contacted Shook’s attorney he turned himself back into authorities and is being held on $4000,00 bond. According to the District Attorney’ Office if Shook should be released he will have to wear an ankle bracelet.
Investigators say all of the electronic devices have not been completely investigated and more charges are possible.
