Warren Harding McDonald – Obituary

Warren Harding McDonald, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, in the Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Born Nov. 16, 1928, in Fayette County, Alabama, he was the son of the late Jeff and Donnie May Vernon McDonald and the husband of the late Mary Frances “Frankie” McDonald. He had lived in Guin most of his life, was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church, a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army, and had retired from the 3M Company.

He is survived by three sons, Mike (Carolyn) McDonald, of Killen, Alabama, Eddy (Delorah) McDonald, of Northport, Alabama, and Kenneth (Nena) McDonald, of Guin, Alabama; four grandchildren, Keeley Alford, Jayeson McDonald, Charlene Engle, and Brannon Steele; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Stanley McDonald, of Winfield, Alabama.

Services are today at 2 p.m. from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Brother Kenny Hatcher is officiating.

Visitation is today, noon to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
