Wanda Lawler

Wanda Lawler, age 77 of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born September 11, 1947, to Euthel and Eugie Pearl Hood. Wanda was a kind and caring woman who enjoyed shopping, watching “QVC”, and riding around. She was also a big fan of westerns and could be frequently found watching “Gunsmoke”. Wanda loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. No services have been arranged at this time. Wanda is survived by her children, Terry Joe Hurley, Douglas Heath Lawler; grandchildren, Devon Mischele Groves, Brianne Heather Daugherty, Kaylin Belle Lashae Lawler, David Triston Heath Lawler; great-grandchildren, Bailey James Overton, Peyton James Hurley Daugherty, Kinsleigh Grace Hurley, Nathan Brentlee Groves, Dallas Barkley Groves; brother, Gary Hood; and sister-in-law Debra Hood. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Lawler; parents, Euthel and Eugie Pearl Hood; brother, Sonnie Ray Hood; and ex-husband, Purvie Eugene Hurley.
