Wanda "Jean" BrownWanda “Jean” Brown, 79, of Bolivar, passed from this life Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Private, family only memorial services will be held at a later date.

She was born Monday, September 14, 1942, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Adam Franklin Brown, Jr. and Connie Mae Bryant Brown. She lived in Jackson for a short time, prior to moving to Gibson County about 20 years ago. Ms. Brown was retired from Alantis Plastics of Jackson and enjoyed gardening, working in her flowers, playing guitar and piano, especially for the retirement homes and local churches, and being around her family. She was a charter member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church and attended Rocky Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Randall Gatlin (Melissa) of Bolivar; two daughters, Karen Gatlin of Bolivar and Jill Galloway Shipp of Trenton; a sister, Allene Stone (Charles) of South Fulton; a brother, Phillip Brown (Pansy) of Jackson; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Estes (Wesley), Sara Gatlin, Brenan Gatlin, Blake Galloway (Brandy), Trevor Galloway and Alexis Dillard and four great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Martinez. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the Hardeman County Animal Shelter or Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
