Ms. Wanda H. Powers  Wanda H. Powers, age 93, of Lexington, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by close family on March 9, 2024, after a three-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Wanda was born October 25, 1930, to Elsie Faye Mills Hayes and Louie “Buster” Edward Hayes. Throughout Wanda’s long life she worked at Salant and Salant, Lexington High School Cafeteria, and Grecian Restaurant. She was a wonderful Cook!
The most important thing in her life was her relationship with God. She was a long-time faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church. She dearly loved her family, as well as friends and neighbors.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Bradley C. Reeves Sr. and Jake W. Powers, her son, Bradley C. Reeves Jr., Son-in-law, Stephen M. Milam, brothers, Floyd Hayes, Charles Hayes, Roy Hayes and sister Ella Melton.
Survivors include her daughter, June Milam, son, Jeffery Powers (Kristie Tate), sisters, Lou Nell Conrad and Jewell Glowgowski, three grandchildren, Shara Begani (Nate), Derek Beecham and Fallon Petras (Nick), five great grandchildren, Anne Begani, Mae Begani, James Begani, Lochlan Beecham and Lincoln Beecham.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington with internment to follow in Lexington Cemetery.
