Mr. Walter Richard “Rick” Johnson, age 66, husband of Kathy Truman Johnson, and a resident of Raleigh Beard Road in Santa Fe, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

Due to Covid-19 concerns, there will be no public services. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on March 17, 1954 in Lawrenceburg, Rick was the son of the late Ulyss Johnson and the late Leila Gobble Johnson. He worked most of his life as an automotive engineer before retiring in 2006. He was most recently working as a gas station attendant at Sam’s Club. Rick married Kathy Truman in September of 1984; together they had two children, Mark and Marlena. He had an incredibly special love for his beloved dogs: Minnie, Apple, Bella, and Tiffany.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark Christopher (Leslie) Johnson of Santa Fe; daughter, Marlena (Lance) Rainey of Columbia; grandchildren, Bailey and Aidan Cannon; and many, many friends.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Billy & Vera Johnson.
