Walter Louis Gholston, 67, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Gholston was a native of Franklin County, Alabama, but had lived in Muscle Shoals for the past 35 years. He was retired as a forklift operator at Reynolds Aluminum and was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith.
The funeral service will be Monday, January 5, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Winston Tiggs Cemetery. Officiating will be B.J. Bonner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 12:00 noon until service time.
Survivors include wife, Sabrina Gholston; mother, Elizabeth Gholston; son, Walter Zachery Gholston; step-sons, Iran Oates (Delilah), C.G. NeSmith (April), and Dr. Jarrell NeSmith (Brittany); brother, Ray Gholston (Carol); sister, Greta Vorum; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Gholston; and sons, Julian and Jamal Gholston.
