Walter L. Sneed, Jr. passed away at the age of 82 on September 9, 2020.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, Nadine Connally Sneed, father Walter L. Sneed, Sr, mother Ruby H. Sneed and two brothers, James N. and Joel D. Sneed.
He is survived by his son Retired Master Sergeant James W Sneed (Mitzi) his children, Master Sergeant Dustin Sneed and his daughters Caley and Payton, his daughter Katrina Stout (Derrick) her children Noah, Griffin, Evelyn, and Collins and his daughter Teresa C. Smith and daughter Caitlin S. Deaton (Joshua) her son August, and her daughter Sarah A. Smith and sons Clay and Braxton. He is also survived by 7 siblings, R. Hershel Sneed (Linda), Martha S. Cherry, Bernard C.W. Sneed, (Diane), Carol A. Sneed, Jerry D. Sneed (Kathy), Ruby S. Childers (Tim), Wanda S. Nelson (Steve) plus many nieces and nephews.
Most people knew him as Bill or Fish as fishing was his passion. He loved to tell tall tales and was a real wheeler dealer in trading and selling.
Service will be at New Hope Funeral Home on September 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM with visitation one hour before. He will be interred at Sneed Cemetery, McMullen Road, Gurley, AL.
