Walter John Schmanke, Jr., 83, of Hazel Green, passed away Tuesday.
Mr. Schmanke was a native of Rochester, NY and a resident of Madison County for over eight years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in the Korean War and retired from the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller with 36 years of service.
Survivors include his three sons, Michael, David, and Matthew Schmanke; daughter, Patricia Vianco; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
