Dr. Walter G. Nunn, 86, died Sunday, July 13, 2014. Dr. Nunn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, longtime devoted pastor and outstanding Baptist leader. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Nunn; parents, Vinnie Rose and Roy Nunn, and sisters, Teen Reeves, Jewell Moore, and Claudia Birdsong.
Dr. Nunn is survived by his children, Cheryl Rose Nunn, Jon David Nunn, Robert Walter Nunn, and Betsy Nunn Parham; son-in-law, Dr. Robert M Parham; and grandchildren, Elisa Ann Parham, Christopher Robert Parham and Spencer Walton Nunn.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Baptist Church in Huntsville, with the funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
