Jarrod Weeks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2025, for one hour from 11:30AM – 12:30PM, at Peck Funeral Home, prior to the graveside service.

Wally was born October 10, 1933, to Theo Edward Weeks and Annie Lee Thomas Weeks.  Wally passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Riverside Assisted Living, with his children at his bedside.

After he met and married his lovely wife of 52 years, Faye Pounds Weeks, Wally joined the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he and Faye settled in Jacksonville, Florida, where they raised their three children. They moved to Hartselle, Alabama in 1963 when Wally took a job with IBM. He worked there until his retirement.

After retirement, Wally became active in the remote-control airplane community. He took great pride in building and flying his own airplanes. He and Faye shared many wonderful experiences traveling overseas and across the country. When they were home, they could be found on the links enjoying their favorite pastime, golf.

Wally was always ready to share a funny story with any audience, large or small. He loved getting a good laugh. In his later years, he spent time playing cards with his buddies, watching NASCAR, golf and Alabama Football. He enjoyed a lot of good conversations with his brothers, solving world problems. Rarely a day went by that he didn’t call all three of his kids wanting to know “all the news”.

Mr. Weeks is preceded in death by his parents, Theo Edward Weeks and Annie Lee Thomas Weeks, his wife- Faye Pounds Weeks, a great grandson- Gabriel Brock Apodaca, and brothers- Harry, Edward, and Ross Weeks.

He is survived by a Daughter – Linda Carpenter, two Sons- Robert Weeks and Russell Weeks, a Brother – Ron Weeks, Eight Grandchildren, Sixteen Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren.
